Dr. Shawn Henderson is a second-generation chiropractor having been raised understanding the importance of spinal health and function. Upon completion of a BSc at the University of Toronto he completed the 4-year program at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and joined his parents in their Etobicoke Chiropractic Practice. Following completion of training at CMCC, Dr. Shawn completed 2 post-graduate fellowships in the fields of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation. Born and raised in Etobicoke it has been his privilege to provide acupuncture and chiropractic treatment to patients since 1998. In addition to leading a healthy lifestyle and balance between nutrition, exercise and stretching, Dr. Shawn enjoys continuing to try to learn how to play guitar and spending time with family. He is instilling the same message of the importance of health in his young daughter Kaitlyn who inspires him to appreciate every day! He is passionate and caring in his approach to provide the best possible treatment to his patents.

Dr. Maureen Henderson graduated from the University of Guelph in Sociology/Psychology in 1971 and then the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 1975. She has completed a Rehabilitation Specialty in addition to numerous courses in Nutrition, Weight Management and Lifestyle Modification.

She began her practice in Etobicoke with her husband, Dr. Donald Henderson. Within a few months, she opened a satellite office where she worked 3 days per week for 38 years. Her focus has been on family practice, which resonates in the clinic.

During her years in practice, scientific advancements in treatment protocols have been used to get the most beneficial results for patients. In addition to spinal manipulative therapy Dr. Maureen uses medical laser therapy and rock taping for many treatments, including arthritic joints, pre-and post-surgical recovery, athletic injuries and sprains and strains.

An avid proponent of maintaining mobility and a healthy lifestyle, she coaches dieters in the Ideal Protein Protocol and exercise to optimize their health and function, regardless of their age.

Dr. Maureen has no thoughts of retirement as she continues to work with patients and dieters to help them achieve their optimum level of health and to “Be Your Best You”.

Gavin Badyal is a Chiropodist/Foot Specialist at Kingsway Heath. Practicing since 2005, Gavin has been dividing his time between Kingsway Heath and his hospital practice at the University Health Network. Gavin Badyal is a highly trained and experienced Chiropodist, treating a variety of foot and lower limb disorders. Working with the team at Kingsway Health, Gavin is passionate about providing treatment plans for his patients incorporating a holistic approach to their health. Sreenath (Nat) Rave D.Ch. is a registered chiropodist. He graduated from the Michener Institute for Applied Health Sciences in 1995. He is currently on staff at St. Michael’s Hospital and is a part of the wound care team. In this role, his primary focus is providing care across all of the inpatient units and outpatients from the Hemodialysis unit.

Prior to joining St. Michael’s hospital, Nat was on staff at Toronto Rehab from 1995 – 2009 where he was the Corporate Practice Leader and Clinical Coordinator 2004 – 2009. Nat currently teaches in the St. Michael’s hospital wound care program, “Best Practices in Diabetic Foot Ulcer Care and Adjunctive Therapies”. He continues to mentor Chiropody interns, medical and endocrine residents, and is an advisor to the CanMeds plastic surgery residents.

Working in both the public and private sectors has given Nat a very unique perspective on healthcare in Ontario.
